Template policy — review with counsel before launch. Not legal advice.

Overview

This privacy policy describes what information MathEducation collects when you play the game, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep things minimal: we collect what we need to run the game, save your progress, and improve the experience.

Data we collect

If you create an account we store your name, email address, hashed password, and the game progress associated with that account (levels completed, stars, XP, gems, lives, streaks, and timing data for puzzles you solve). If you play without an account, progress is stored only in your browser.

What we do with it

We use your data to provide the game itself: serving puzzles, saving your progress across devices, ranking head-to-head matches, and powering daily and weekly leaderboards. With your consent we may also collect basic anonymous product analytics to understand which puzzles are too hard or too easy.

Retention

We keep your account data until you ask us to delete it. You can wipe your local progress at any time from the Settings page and delete your account entirely from the same screen.

Third parties

We use PostHog for optional product analytics (only if you opt in) and Resend to send transactional emails such as account verification and password reset. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account at any time from the Settings page. If you are in the EU, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
